Well, the weather was wet and made life difficult for all.
We had 13 entries for the event, but apart from the weather, also a number of mechanical issues!
Race 1 finished with Gareth Thompson, Noel Collins and Kevin Flanagan in that order! Jackie Cochran maybe was confused by the flags, but pitted a lap before the race end, Ed Cassidy aquaplaned into the barrier at a fair speed, quite a lot of car damage, and to his ego, everything else was good. Clive Brandon, Stephen Kelly, Val Thompson all had various mechanical maladies and did not finish the race. The other finishers, in order, were Conor Cooke, Johnny Flynn and Billy Patton.
Only 6 cars made it to the start line for Race 2 – Kevin Flanagan had the misfortune to stall, managed to restart but by this time the Marshalls were moving him off the track as quickly as possible to avoid a red flag, safety car, and he was not permitted to continue. The race finished in the order of Gareth, Jackie, Noel, Johnny, Billy and Conor.
Fastest laps in each race were Jackie and Gareth, but the time show the conditions as they were, 1:08.410 and 1:08.588
