The HRCA was formed in 1987 and our members race in a serious of events under the auspices of Motorsport Ireland, both in Ireland and abroad. Our mission today is the same as it was in 1987:

’To Preserve and Promote historic and classic sports and racing cars for participation in special events”

Our series competitors race both saloon and sports cars of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.

To see if you could be racing with us, check here for our Technical and Sporting Regulations page.

Events are held at permanent race circuits (Races) and also at speed events on closed public roads (Hillclimbs and Sprints).

The Race Championship consists of 10 – 12 races during the season, March to October. Mainly consisting of rounds at Mondello Park, Kirkistown and Bishopscourt, with occasional further abroad.

Our varied Hillclimb Championship takes in Venues from Wexford to Donegal. Hillclimbs are a real challenge with much competition but are incredibly social weekends, so why not try one?

So what are you waiting for, get in contact today and share with us your passion for Historic Motorsport in Ireland
