The HRCA was formed in 1987 and runs a series of events under the auspices of Motorsport Ireland, both in Ireland and the UK. Our mission today is the same as it was some 33 years ago:
‘’To Preserve and Promote historic and classic sports and racing cars for participation in special events”
Our series competitors race both saloon and sports cars of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s with a newly introduced class for Pre ’83 cars.
To see if you could be racing with us, check here for our Technical and Sporting Regulations page.
Events are held at permanent race circuits (Races) and also at speed events on closed public roads (Hillclimbs).
The Race Championship consists of 10 – 12 races during the season, March to October. Mainly consisting of rounds at Mondello Park, Kirkistown Northern Ireland and Anglesey in Wales.
Our varied Hillclimb Championship takes in Venues from Wexford to Donegal. Hillclimbs are a real challenge with much competition but are incredibly social weekends, so why not try one?
So what are you waiting for, get in contact today and share with us your passion for Historic Motorsport in Ireland
