Updated Championship Points Table now under Results 2026
We had 7 entries in the HRCA section, disappointing! The weather was warm and good throughout, after some morning mist and strong wind.
Some entrants arrived on the Friday and did some test sessions. Billy P and Derek K decided to have a little contre temps, resulting in a DNS for Derek and the car back in the trailer!
In qualifying, Mark Russell in his Morgan outshone Jackie Cochrane’s Tiger by 0.355 of a second, followed by Steven Kelly in the Mallock. The rest of the field was Wolfgang, Billy Patton (Midgets), and Kevin Flanagan in the ex Ed Cassidy MGB
RACE 1 was a win for Jackie, Mark had to retire the Morgan, so the runner up was Steven Kelly followed by Wolfgang in third and Kevin Flanagan. Billy Patton’s car’s water pump gave up, so he had a DNF
RACE 2 was briefly led by Jackie Cochrane, but an overheating problem meant he retired the car. Winner of the race was Steven Kelly followed by Wolfgang, Billy Patton and Kevin Flanagan.
We were all delighted to have Gareth Thompson joining us in the Paddock, still recovering from the major shunt in Mondello. Well done Gareth and hope to see you back fully recovered soon.
