It with regret and sadness that we report the death of Bryan Brophy .
Bryan’s contribution to Irish Motorsport was immense. He was involved actively in all disciplines for over 50 years racing, rallying, hill-climbing and officiating.
Bryan will be remembered for his exploits in Modsports Midgets and various Imp’s whilst latterly he competed in Retro Rallies and events such as the Tour Britannia.
When Bryan wasn’t competing he was busy representing Motorsport at a local, national and International level, from Treasurer of the Galway Motor Club, serving on the Motorsport Commission to Ireland’s FIA F1 Steward.
The Brophy hospitality was legendary.
Bryan will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
