Our Awards Dinner was very successfully held on Saturday 1st December in the National Yacht Club Dun Laoghaire. 47 Members and friends attended. We had a brief introduction by our Chairman Wolfgang, a delicious meal which included wine, our raffle where we must have had over 30 spot prizes (ranging from a side of venison from an absent Frank Nuttall, to some very useful Fox Engineering imperial spanners). Above all there was a lot of chat and it was great to have all the partners there whom we often don’t see from one year to another. The evening finished late!
Our thanks go to the organisers Liam and Roberta Ruth, for not only handling all the dinner arrangements, but also the purchase and engraving of the awards, and for organising the raffle. Thanks to Ken McAvoy (who won the most awards by far!) who provided the background winner photos. And to the Chef and all the staff in the National who looked after us so well.
